Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, prepare, and process various material samples.
- Manage sample processing utilizing diverse laboratory methods.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure exemplary laboratory cleanliness and orderliness.
- Complete tasks as assigned by laboratory supervisors or managers.
- Perform safety walks, audits, inspections, and related safety activities.
- Comply with laboratory standard operating procedures and maintain safety standards.
- Achieve quality benchmarks, turnaround times, and key performance indicators related to the role.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a geoanalytical or minerals testing laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with inorganic chemistry laboratory techniques.
- Minimum of one-year laboratory technician or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES instrumentation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fundamental laboratory QA/QC processes.
- Strong verbal communication and numerical reasoning capabilities.
- A systematic, organized approach to laboratory tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to function well within a team-focused production setting prioritizing quality and safety.
Work Schedule
- Weekly rotating shift roster including day (6:00 am–2:00 pm) and afternoon (2:00 pm–10:00 pm) shifts.
- Requirement for full availability across all shifts.
- Possible future transition to 9-hour shifts to align with operational needs.
