Kindergarten Teacher Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated individuals passionate about early childhood education to join our team as Kindergarten Teacher Assistants. In this supportive and collaborative setting, you will play an essential role in nurturing and fostering the growth of children aged 2 to 5 years, contributing positively to their early learning experiences.

Key Duties

• Welcome children as they arrive and supervise their departure, ensuring seamless transitions at the start and end of each day.
• Provide assistance with personal hygiene, including supporting toilet visits and handwashing, helping to promote independence where possible.
• Support children during meals and snacks, creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience.
• Organize, prepare, and maintain classroom materials to create an engaging and orderly learning environment.
• Keep classroom spaces tidy and ensure educational equipment is well cared for.
• Supervise and engage children in a variety of activities such as educational workshops, school festivals, and library visits.
• Lead and assist on school excursions like walks, cultural visits, and performances to enrich the children's experiences.
• Prepare creative and educational materials needed for activities.
• Oversee children during breaks, meal times, naps, and transitions such as getting on and off the school bus.
• Assist with clothing changes and attend to other children's needs as they arise.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or school management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working with young children between 2 and 5 years old, demonstrating patience, kindness, and enthusiasm.
• Possession of a diploma in early childhood education is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong ability to collaborate well within a team setting with teachers and staff.
• Exhibits organizational skills, discretion, independence, and initiative to handle various classroom situations.
• Energetic and positive disposition, committed to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

Employment Terms

• Full-time position, 36 hours per week.
• Fixed-term contract duration of 2 years.
