Role Overview
Within the Marketing & Communications department, the successful candidate will support the Events & Exhibits team by creating and implementing technical strategies for live communication events. This includes international congresses, exhibitions, customer gatherings, and internal meetings to ensure seamless product displays and outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical planning and execution of in-person and hybrid promotional events, focusing on congresses and exhibitions.
- Coordinate project activities to guarantee timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Work closely with the Export Department to organize international logistics such as shipments, customs, and on-site deliveries.
- Manage external vendors including booth construction, logistics, and audiovisual providers.
- Develop cost estimates, assess quotes, and aid in supplier selection and contract arrangements.
- Oversee booth and demonstration equipment logistics for global events.
- Create and update basic technical drawings, including 2D/3D booth layouts, cable plans, and graphic placements.
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Product Marketing to innovate exhibition concepts and demo solutions.
- Implement advanced technical and audiovisual setups for exhibitions and customer events.
- Work alongside Event Managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project rollout.
- Offer technical guidance on product presentation and booth functionality.
- Supervise booth installation and dismantling on site, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and brand guidelines.
- Identify and recommend improvements to technical standards, procedures, and supplier effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or vocational training in Event Technology, Media Technology, Engineering, Event Management, Project Management, or related field.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in technical event or exhibition management, trade shows, or similar project roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an international setting.
- Hands-on experience in planning and managing congresses, exhibitions, or technical events.
- Good understanding of exhibition construction and booth infrastructure.
- Track record of coordinating external suppliers and service providers.
- Competence in reading and producing technical layouts, cable plans, and booth drawings.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Possession of a valid Class B driving license.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
- Business-level fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with audiovisual technologies.
- Understanding of logistics and customs processes.
- Background in medical technology, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
