Junior Frontend Developer – E-Commerce & Shopify

About the Role

Join ABRIO, a leading Digital Commerce consultancy based in Frankfurt am Main, as a Junior Frontend Developer specializing in E-Commerce and Shopify. This role involves developing performant and modern Shopify frontends, implementing new features, and growing your skills through mentorship within client projects. While experience with Shopify is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team comprising developers, designers, and marketing experts on complex Shopify migration projects, platform initiatives, and state-of-the-art online shops for prominent clients across direct-to-consumer, business-to-consumer, and business-to-business sectors.
• Develop modern, responsive, and high-performance frontends for e-commerce platforms, transforming requirements into scalable solutions.
• Enhance Shopify capabilities by integrating suitable apps to improve user experience effectively.
• Leverage technologies like TypeScript and popular frontend frameworks to deliver superior digital experiences.
• Assist with backend tasks such as database structuring, data migration, and middleware integration.

Candidate Profile

• Holders of a bachelor's degree in (business) computer science, data engineering, industrial engineering, user experience design, or a related discipline.
• Some initial hands-on experience in software development, gathered through prior jobs, internships, working student roles, or personal projects.
• A clear focus on frontend development with secure command of TypeScript, JavaScript, and React-based frameworks; familiarity with CI/CD, unit testing, responsive design, and performance optimization is a plus.
• Highly structured, independent, and quality-driven work ethic with eagerness to learn new topics.
• Eloquent communication skills and comfort working both in teams and directly with clients.
• Fluency in German at C1/C2 level and good command of English.

Additional Information

The position is full-time with a hybrid work setup: 2 to 3 days onsite in Frankfurt per week. Excellent German language skills at C1/C2 level are required.
