Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the implementation of global IT standards from China headquarters by providing local IT assistance in Riyadh. Key duties include daily IT support, managing equipment and network basics, and maintaining asset records for both office and retail settings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help enforce company IT policies, security measures, and support project activities including data gathering and corrective actions.
- Assist in deploying IT infrastructure across offices and retail locations, including site assessments, hardware installation, and initial system setups.
- Carry out PC deployments, software setups, routine upkeep, and endpoint troubleshooting according to standardized procedures.
- Regularly inspect and service AV systems, security access controls, CCTV, IP telephony, and multifunction printers.
- Support DNS and DHCP service management and resolve typical endpoint network problems.
- Manage complete IT asset lifecycle, maintaining inventory, handling incoming goods, conducting stock checks, coordinating maintenance, and processing retirements.
- Assist with daily monitoring and user permissions administration for Active Directory, email systems, NAS, virtualization, and PBX systems.
- Cooperate with headquarter security and network teams onsite; communicate with local officials, auditors, and service providers; and ensure timely reporting of IT conditions and challenges.
- Maintain operational records, technical documents, and standard operating procedures to sustain consistent IT practices locally.
Candidate Requirements
- Detail-oriented, proactive with strong execution skills, capable of following established protocols and promptly reporting issues.
- Efficiently prioritize support tickets and escalate unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Practical understanding of PC hardware, Windows and macOS operating systems, and familiarity with office software; experienced in OS reinstallation and troubleshooting endpoints.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS protocols and ability to troubleshoot common office network issues.
- Proficiency performing hardware installation and maintenance according to procedural standards.
- General awareness of Windows Server, Active Directory, email platforms, NAS, and virtualization technology; hands-on experience is advantageous.
- Basic skills in English for listening, speaking, reading technical documents, and communicating effectively in a multicultural work environment.
