Role Summary
The IT Support Officer role based in Dubai offers a part-time work opportunity combining onsite duties with remote work flexibility. This position entails delivering daily technical assistance to employees, addressing issues related to hardware and software on desktop systems and associated devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to helpdesk tickets by diagnosing and resolving computer hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues to maintain stable communication.
- Maintain printer functionality by managing setup, connectivity, and routine repairs.
- Document support incidents and escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.
- Contribute to enhancing IT procedures and improving user satisfaction with IT services.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in technical support and troubleshooting common IT issues efficiently.
- Basic understanding of IT fundamentals such as operating systems, networking principles, and security practices.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers and software.
- Practical skills in supporting and troubleshooting office printers and related devices.
- Strong customer service skills paired with clear communication to simplify technical information.
- Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously while working independently in a hybrid, part-time environment.
- Prior IT helpdesk or similar support role experience is desirable, along with certifications like CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation being advantageous.
- Authorization to work in Dubai with readiness to provide in-person support as required.
