Role Overview

As an IT Engineer at ALEC Holdings, you will provide essential hands-on technical assistance, manage end-user devices, and optimize IT services to ensure operational excellence. You will be a key player enabling diverse business units to perform efficiently through proactive problem resolution and reliable support in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely support for IT-related challenges involving devices, connectivity, and applications to minimize user downtime onsite.
• Manage and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices (including iOS and Android), printers, and collaboration tools to ensure they remain updated and functional.
• Ensure flawless operation of video conferencing, presentation setups, and meeting technologies to prevent disruptions during important meetings.
• Provide secure system access to employees operating across office and remote site locations, upholding strict data handling protocols to mitigate breach risks.
• Identify and resolve potential IT issues proactively to maintain continuous workflow at project sites.
• Support the Service Desk team by managing escalated tickets and contributing to IT operations during high-demand periods.
• Serve as a professional, approachable contact for site staff and management, effectively communicating technical information in accessible terms.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as directed by management to support business needs.

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong troubleshooting ability across software and hardware issues in end-user and infrastructure contexts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging project stakeholders and site teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, and modern workplace technologies.
• Practical experience with meeting room AV systems and video conferencing platforms such as Teams and Zoom.
• Capability to work autonomously, prioritize competing tasks, and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
• Previous IT support experience specifically within construction or project site environments.
• Familiarity managing iOS and Android mobile devices.
• Basic networking understanding, including Wi-Fi and LAN troubleshooting.
• ITIL V4 certification is essential.

Qualifications and Professional Background

• Degree in a related discipline or comparable professional experience.
• Minimum of three years in IT operations or end-user support roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and contemporary device management.
