Role Overview
The Investor Relations Analyst position plays a strategic role in connecting the company's financial performance with external audiences including buy-side and sell-side analysts and shareholders. The role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance, excellent communication abilities, and enthusiasm for applying AI technologies to enhance workflows and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support quarterly earnings processes by preparing earnings releases, developing scripts, creating presentation decks via PowerPoint, and assembling Q&A materials.
- Innovate workflow efficiencies by adopting and experimenting with AI tools for market research, sentiment analysis of peer earnings calls, and drafting IR communications.
- Manage and update financial models and internal consensus data, monitor shareholder ownership dynamics, and analyze market trading activities.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and competitor disclosures including earnings and regulatory filings to deliver actionable insights.
- Oversee investor relationship management through CRM maintenance, tracking interactions, and coordinating investor engagements like conferences and meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience: Open to strong recent graduates or candidates with up to two years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or corporate communications.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel (modeling and data analysis) and PowerPoint for crafting clear and compelling presentations.
- AI Competency: Familiarity and willingness to integrate AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or finance-specific AI platforms into daily tasks.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills capable of translating complex financial information into clear narratives.
- Attributes: Strong intellectual curiosity, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial data platforms like Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ, or Quartr.
- Internship background in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate financial planning and analysis.
- Basic knowledge of SEC reporting requirements including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings.
