Internal Control Specialist

Role Summary

In response to expanding international operations, Midea Group is developing regional internal risk control functions to enhance internal control uniformity and mitigate potential business risks. We seek an Internal Control Specialist to join our Meari Region team and collaborate closely with the MIB risk management group to identify, analyze, and reduce risks following the COSO framework.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and strengthening regional internal control structures and mechanisms.
• Facilitate risk management, internal control, and compliance monitoring efforts regionally.
• Identify key risks, control weaknesses, and compliance challenges within the region’s business, propose practical solutions, and assist overseas entities in managing issues effectively.
• Support implementation of Group and MIB management policies and enhance local policies and processes by addressing identified gaps.
• Assist with compliance complaint responses and anti-fraud investigations.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of risk management and compliance within the organization.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and best practices across regional offices by highlighting common challenges.
• Maintain open communication and trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits as well as internal control initiatives managed by MIB, PD, and Group headquarters.

Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or CFE are highly preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in risk control, auditing, compliance, operations, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, listening, writing) is required; knowledge of at least one additional major language is advantageous.
• Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to discern critical issues.
• Strong logical reasoning and high-quality English writing skills; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
• Excellent training capabilities in English; Chinese language skills add value.

Work Location Note

Primary base location is Dubai, UAE, with options including Cairo, Egypt, or Gurgaon, India.
