Role overview
Lenovo’s Direct Business inside sales function supports existing customers while also creating new business through outbound outreach. The team typically consists of 12–16 ISRs and Account Managers, and this position leads that group while managing the full sales cycle and customer journey.
What you will do
- Ensure full coverage of assigned accounts using outbound calls, email, and web-based engagement methods.
- Guide the team in winning large deals and, when needed, join customer meetings virtually or in person.
- Own the customer sales process end to end until order fulfillment and delivery.
- Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance against sales targets.
- Keep the CRM system updated daily and manage the complete customer journey in MS Dynamics.
- Work with cross-functional teams whenever support is needed to move opportunities forward.
- Build expertise in a defined part of the Lenovo India portfolio, including desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, and services.
Performance expectations
- Meet revenue targets for monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
- Maintain a pipeline coverage ratio of at least 3x quota.
- Increase active engagement across assigned accounts each month.
- Track outbound activity such as calls, emails, and touchpoints for each ISR.
- Improve conversion across the funnel from lead to opportunity to closure.
- Shorten sales cycles and improve deal velocity.
- Grow new customer acquisition and repeat business.
- Keep forecast reporting accurate on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain high CRM data quality and compliance in MS Dynamics.
- Improve productivity, quota achievement, engagement, and retention within the team.
- Contribute to cross-sell and upsell across Lenovo’s product range.
Requirements
- 7–8 years of experience in customer-facing or inside sales/B2B sales roles with demonstrated selling ability.
- At least 3 years of experience leading people or managing a team.
- At least 8 years of overall sales experience.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree.
