Overview
Join the team delivering Western Australia's landmark Project CERES urea plant, the largest of its kind in Australia and among the largest globally, incorporating highly sustainable production methods. This major project is expected to generate around 2,000 construction jobs and provide long-term benefits including career growth, training, and business opportunities within the local community.
We seek a dedicated Injury Management Advisor for the Perdaman team, working onsite in a 19:9 shift pattern. This role involves providing expert health and injury management guidance to managers while coordinating rehabilitation for workers with both work-related and non-work-related injuries or illnesses. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance standards, and organizational safety objectives.

Core Responsibilities
- Manage workplace injury processes according to Workers' Compensation legislation and company policies.
- Promptly notify insurers following any awareness of workplace injuries or illnesses within legally mandated timeframes.
- File workers' compensation claims with the respective insurers.
- Support rehabilitation efforts by engaging early with injured employees and their supervisors/managers, and overseeing return-to-work plans including development, monitoring, and updates to facilitate timely and safe reintegration.
- Maintain ongoing communication with insurers, case managers, safety advisors, medical professionals, payroll, and other stakeholders regarding injured workers’ progress.
- Coordinate factual investigations related to insurer claims and participate in claims review meetings.
- Ensure accurate and confidential documentation is kept within the SOLV system.
- Assist in managing medical conditions and injuries that are not work-related, including creating personalized health condition management plans for employees with long-term medical issues.
- Create and present training programs on workers’ compensation, injury management, and return-to-work procedures.
- Initiate and run wellness and health awareness programs addressing various topics.
- Offer coaching and expert advice to frontline leaders, safety representatives, workers, and contractors to enhance health and wellbeing capabilities across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ professional experience as an Injury Management Advisor or in a similar capacity.
- Prior involvement in construction or EPC projects is highly advantageous.
- A tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, or Occupational Health is strongly preferred.
- Background in environmental management on substantial infrastructure or resource projects is beneficial.
- Experience in oil & gas or fertilizer industries is valued.
- Strong expertise in workplace rehabilitation processes including compliance with claims notification, proactive intervention strategies, and return-to-work plan development and updates.
- In-depth understanding of workplace rehabilitation legislation, safety laws, and safety management systems.
