The opportunity
Beca’s ICT function is central to delivering technology support and solutions across the business. Working with teams around the world, it helps shape and maintain a modern, adaptable technology environment.
This is a full-time helpdesk support opportunity in Auckland for a graduate-level, customer-oriented person who is resilient and eager to support the business. You will report to the Helpdesk Manager in Auckland and focus mainly on resolving user issues by phone. The role is broad and busy, and full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line support for user queries and quickly resolve a range of hardware and software issues across the organisation.
- Take full ownership of issues and work through them to a complete resolution wherever possible.
- Work confidently with Office 365, Windows, Entra ID, Active Directory, Configuration Manager, Intune, security tools, file and folder permissions, and user account administration such as adding or removing users.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of service to both internal and external users.
- Log, prioritise, manage, or escalate incidents and service requests while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
- Support end users with everyday IT hardware and software needs.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and adjust your style for different audiences.

- Well-developed problem-solving ability.
- Genuine interest in information technology, supported by general IT knowledge gained through study or experience.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, along with strong punctuality, time management, presentation, and administration skills.
