Key Responsibilities

• Assist adults with diverse needs in daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting to encourage independence.
• Facilitate participation in community activities, recreational programs, and promote healthy living.
• Support individuals in reaching their personal objectives and acquiring new skills.
• Use Positive Behaviour Support techniques to help manage emotional wellbeing and challenging behaviours.
• Help build confidence, foster social connections, and nurture meaningful relationships.
• Keep thorough records and collaborate effectively with families, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• Eligible to work legally in New Zealand.
• Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver's license.
• Consent to Police and Oranga Tamariki background checks.
• Previous experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Experience supporting autistic individuals.
• Proficient computer skills and confidence using digital platforms.
• High competency in written and spoken English.
