Freight Forwarder

Overview

Aspire Globus is seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder with expertise in Ocean Transportation Intermediary (OTI) operations. This position is based onsite in Mohali district, India, with working hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee ocean freight transport including booking cargo space, preparing documentation, managing shipping instructions, and handling sales processes.
• Maintain strong working relationships with shipping lines, port authorities, and other logistics stakeholders.
• Ensure shipments clear customs punctually by managing all required paperwork to comply with regulations.
• Work directly with clients to assess shipping requirements and deliver cost-efficient and dependable freight solutions.
• Track shipments continuously and provide clients with frequent updates regarding status, delays, or modifications.
• Remain knowledgeable about the latest industry regulations, trade laws, shipping agreements, and pricing structures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in roles related to Ocean Transportation Intermediary or similar freight forwarding positions.
• Solid understanding of shipping contracts, tariffs, port operations, and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiar with international trade compliance and shipping documentation standards.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Preferred proficiency in using freight forwarding software and other relevant logistics tools.
