Mindrift connects technology specialists with innovative projects to develop advanced AI solutions globally. The Tendem project seeks freelance Full-Stack Web Application Developers skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript coupled with Python or Node.js to build and maintain interactive browser-based applications for practical use cases. This remote, part-time position offers the chance to create user-friendly, efficient web apps including habit trackers, budgeting tools, dashboards, mini SaaS products, and AI-enhanced applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interactive web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue, alongside backend APIs built with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) or Node.js (Express).
• Design data models, database schemas, and manage persistence layers using SQL databases like PostgreSQL or SQLite, or NoSQL stores.
• Implement authentication systems, session management, and role-based access control as necessary.
• Integrate third-party services, including AI and large language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into application features.
• Manage application state, validate user inputs, and handle error and loading states gracefully.
• Develop standalone Python scripts and tools for data processing or lightweight backend tasks where required.
• Conduct code reviews, debug, optimize, and refactor applications to enhance security, performance, and maintainability.
• Produce clear, testable code and troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, and database components.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of three years' experience in full-stack web development or delivering interactive web applications.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work independently, architect complete features, and deliver robust, production-quality applications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with precision and attention to detail.

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, or Svelte.
• Backend experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and/or Node.js (Express, NestJS).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite) and schema design.
• Skilled in REST API design, request validation, error handling, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiar with deployment platforms like Vercel, Netlify, Render, Fly.io, Railway, or equivalent.
• Strong version control knowledge using Git and understanding of basic testing methodologies.
• Prior experience integrating AI or LLM APIs is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements and Expectations

• Demonstrated meticulousness and dedication to delivering stable and complete products, not prototypes.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to plan, build, and launch features autonomously.
• A portfolio showcasing previously shipped web applications is mandatory.
• Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher English language proficiency.

Project Details and Compensation

The workload during active phases is estimated at 10 to 20 hours per week, dependent on project demands. Compensation can reach up to $60 per hour equivalent, varying by expertise and contribution pace. Other projects managed via the platform may offer different pay levels based on complexity and requirements.
