Role overview
This position leads the complete food and beverage function, covering culinary production, restaurants, beverage service, and room service. The role is accountable for guest and associate satisfaction, maintaining brand and operational standards, and delivering or outperforming financial targets. It also requires strong knowledge of food and beverage regulations and the ability to build and execute a business plan for the department.

What you will do
- Oversee all food and beverage activities, including kitchen, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
- Plan and manage financial, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement initiatives for the department.
- Use budgets to track financial objectives and support cost discipline across kitchen and restaurant operations.
- Lead, supervise, and support the food and beverage teams in daily operations.
- Understand team roles well enough to step in when needed and keep operations running smoothly.
- Model strong communication, integrity, and sound business judgment while guiding the team.
- Build a work environment that promotes motivation, empowerment, collaboration, improvement, and service excellence.
- Deliver strong internal service to employees and respond quickly to team concerns.
- Coach, counsel, and develop team members continuously.
- Set clear priorities, goals, and work plans for the department.
- Provide direction that aligns departmental objectives with efficient execution.
- Establish expectations with team leaders and recognize strong performance when goals are exceeded.
- Ensure high-quality guest service and respond promptly to guest issues.
- Support and reinforce the brand’s service culture across all levels of the operation.
- Own guest complaints until they are resolved or handed off appropriately.
- Confirm that banquet functions meet standards and guest expectations.
- Improve service quality by guiding staff on guest needs and service behaviors.
- Conduct performance reviews and support fair, open communication practices.
- Identify training and development needs and help create learning programs where required.
- Work on action plans based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction outcomes.
- Follow corporate accounting procedures.
- Share information clearly with supervisors, colleagues, and team members.
- Review information, assess outcomes, and choose practical solutions to problems.
- Keep departmental communication effective through logs and meetings.
Candidate profile
The employer is open to candidates with either a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience.
