Job Overview
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Floor Technician, where you will ensure the maintenance and pristine condition of flooring throughout a long-term care facility. Your role contributes directly to the cleanliness and safety of resident areas, elevating the overall environment and experience for all who live, work, and visit the facility.
Responsibilities
- Execute floor care duties such as cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common spaces, and office areas.
- Operate floor care machinery with care and proficiency.
- Keep detailed records of all floor maintenance tasks and promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisory staff.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain sanitation standards.
- Engage courteously with residents, staff, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience with floor care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants and management to facilitate daily operations.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination guidelines.
- Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and sustain standing, sitting, bending, and walking for prolonged periods.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks regularly and work safely around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Residency within the service area is required.
