Overview
Join Truist as a Financial Crimes Analyst based in Atlanta, GA. This full-time, onsite position involves detailed analysis and decision-making concerning fraud alerts and cases to mitigate financial losses and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate Fraud Solution Service Delivery cases and alerts to determine appropriate actions.
- Investigate transactional data using banking systems to verify compliance with fraud protocols.
- Conduct client-related investigations thoroughly and accurately.
- Apply critical thinking to support well-founded decisions regarding alert types.
- Leverage various internal and external tools to enhance fraud research efforts.
- Resolve cases efficiently while adhering to timelines established by fraud management protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to support case resolutions.
- Engage in ongoing fraud-related training including webinars, publications, and self-study to stay updated on evolving laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent, with related training.
- At least one year experience in banking, finance, or related areas such as audit, compliance, legal, risk, or lending.
- Ability to understand and follow complex policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong skills in investigation, analysis, and critical thinking.
- Effective time management and prioritization capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client service skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Capacity to perform under stress in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
- Flexibility to work varying hours as required.
Preferred
- Associate degree.
- Experience in investigations, law enforcement, or lending roles.
- Familiarity with fraud regulations and compliance including reporting and documentation.
- Background in fraud or compliance-related roles, both client-facing or operational.
