Finance Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, provide clear financial insights, and ensure efficient finance operations across the organization. This pivotal position involves working collaboratively with various teams to enhance processes and support informed business decisions.

The role requires leading the accounting functions to deliver accurate management accounts, statutory reports, forecasts, and budgets in a timely manner, while maintaining robust financial controls and clear financial information for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing processes and prepare precise management accounts, reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide transparent financial analysis to department heads to aid in planning, performance evaluation, and strategic decision-making.
• Oversee working capital, including cash flow, inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Support enhancements following the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation by stabilizing and refining financial procedures.
• Act as a financial partner to operational teams to help interpret performance data and suggest actionable improvements.
• Maintain control accounts, fixed asset records, financial controls, and accounting systems.
• Assist with audit processes, tax documentation, VAT assessments, and consolidated group reporting.
• Review supplier configurations, authorize payments, and monitor sales and purchase ledger activities.
• Support, mentor, and guide the finance team with objectives, training, attendance, and leave management.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• Experience working within a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable financial systems in a production context.
• Experience managing or supporting a finance team.
• Confidence in utilizing data analytics tools such as Power BI to generate reports and insightful dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive approach with strong organizational capabilities to manage diverse responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel across the UK as required.

Working Hours and Remuneration

This position requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00. The salary ranges between £60,000 and £75,000 annually, depending on experience.
