About the Project
Dreamz is executing Project Shuddhi, a CSR-driven initiative devoted to improving solid waste management in peri-urban communities of Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore. The project focuses on promoting household waste segregation, creating community-based systems for organic waste, enhancing local governance capacity, and fostering public awareness around sanitation and environmental health.
Role Overview
The Field Mobiliser acts as the direct liaison with the community, playing a vital part in motivating and assisting households, local leaders, sanitation employees, and volunteers. The aim is to drive waste segregation adoption, gather data, coordinate awareness efforts, and support the practical rollout of project activities at the grassroots level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement door-to-door educational campaigns encouraging proper waste segregation and disposal practices.
- Advocate and support adoption of the two-bin system among local families.
- Arrange and conduct community meetings, interactive discussions, and behavioral change activities related to sanitation and environmental care.
- Encourage participation of village influencers and volunteers in program events and outreach efforts.
- Carry out comprehensive household and beneficiary surveys to establish project baselines and track progress.
- Gather, record, and maintain accurate field data digitally, including supporting mapping and vulnerability assessments.
- Identify, attract, and guide local youth volunteers for project involvement and conduct meetings with Panchayat and institutional partners.
- Assist with organizing and facilitating training and logistical arrangements for project activities, such as installing organic waste systems and scheduling events.
- Document attendance, maintain beneficiary records, and collect testimonials, photographs, and success stories for reporting purposes.
- Compile and support timely submission of weekly and monthly project reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong fluency in Tamil for effective community interaction.
- Ownership of a functional two-wheeler for travel within assigned villages.
- Comfort with smartphones and use of apps or online forms for data gathering.
- Willingness to travel frequently between multiple rural locations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly salary of 15,000 INR.
- Additional travel allowance provided per project guidelines for field work.
