Role Overview

The Executive Assistant (EA) serves as a strategic, high-impact partner to C-level executives, providing confidential support designed to maximize their effectiveness. This individual acts as a trusted liaison, managing complex priorities, anticipating executive needs, exercising strong judgment, and representing the executive office in internal and external interactions. The role requires autonomy, discretion, and the capacity to make decisions on behalf of the executive team.

Work Arrangement

This role is primarily work-from-home with occasional planned travel to the Southfield, Michigan office. Team members may elect to work onsite at this location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Executive Leadership Team members, including SVPs and VPs, to provide comprehensive administrative support aligned with business goals.
  • Act as an intermediary between C-level executives, senior leaders, Board members, and external partners.
  • Proactively organize executives’ time, information, and resources to support organizational priorities.
  • Develop executive briefing documents, presentations, decision memos, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, offering solutions and recommendations to assist executive decision-making.
  • Manage a demanding and complex calendar independently, balancing priorities with tact and business insight.
  • Draft and refine executive communications, correspondence, and talking points.
  • Screen incoming communications, addressing or escalating them based on urgency and strategic relevance.
  • Coordinate executive workflows, meetings, leadership events, and organizational commitments seamlessly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience acceptable.
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting executives, including a minimum of 3 years supporting VP-level or higher.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, or complex matrixed organizational environments.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
