Role Overview
We are seeking several professional, organised, and adaptable examination invigilators to support the University of Bristol's School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. The primary responsibility is to oversee examination sessions, creating a calm atmosphere that helps candidates perform at their best during exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor students as they undertake exams.
- Prepare exam venues and manage distribution and collection of exam materials.
- Support both traditional paper-based and computer-based examination formats.
- Follow university policies and procedures, with training provided.
- Give clear directions to large groups of exam candidates under formal test conditions.
Candidate Requirements
- Exceptional organisational skills, alertness, and dependability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various locations throughout Bristol.
Additional Information
- Positions are casual with availability mainly during mornings and afternoons in May, early June, August, and mid-December, but may occasionally be required at other times.
- Typical start times for morning exams are around 8:30 AM.
- Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates.
- Compensation is £12.60 per hour.
