Role overview
The Events Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering events that increase brand visibility, engage audiences, and support business growth. The role calls for strategic planning, strong organization, budget oversight, and vendor management, with each event aligned to the company’s healthcare innovation goals. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days per week onsite at the San Mateo headquarters.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the events team to build an annual calendar that supports marketing goals and product launches.
- Set event goals, objectives, and success metrics such as awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement, then evaluate outcomes and identify improvements.
- Shape the concept, theme, messaging, and visual direction for internal and external events, including conferences and trade shows, in partnership with marketing leaders.
- Partner with creative and content teams to produce event branding, messaging, and supporting materials.
- Manage event budgets and keep spending on venue, staffing, technology, catering, and related items within approved limits.
- Find efficient, cost-conscious solutions without reducing event quality.
- Coordinate logistics with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams such as partnerships, product, and marketing.
- Negotiate contracts with venues, contractors, and service providers.
- Oversee event setup and execution, including venue booking, scheduling, and technical coordination.
- Ensure attendees, speakers, and staff have a smooth experience for both onsite and virtual events.
- Create promotional plans to increase attendance through email, social media, and partner channels.
- Maintain audience engagement before, during, and after events through campaigns and attendee interaction.
- Identify, secure, and coordinate speakers for keynotes, panels, and sessions.
- Lead post-event follow-up, including lead nurturing, feedback collection, and ROI analysis.
- Prepare and share event performance reports with leadership and stakeholders.
- Collect attendee feedback and apply insights to improve future events.
- Stay current on event industry trends and new technologies to strengthen the company’s event strategy.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing, ideally within healthcare, technology, or high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated success in planning and delivering events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to measure, interpret, and report on marketing performance.
- Willingness to travel as needed, with more travel during trade show season and for the annual user conference, Noteworthy.
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related area is preferred.
- For Bay Area employees, onsite presence in the San Mateo office is required at least 3 days each week.
- For remote employees, periodic travel to headquarters is expected for company-wide events and onsite gatherings.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
