About Halter

Halter is dedicated to empowering farmers and graziers to operate more productive and sustainable farming systems. Our innovative technology enables cattle to be managed without traditional tools like quad bikes or dogs, transforming livestock handling into a seamless and almost magical experience. Backed by top-tier investors, our team thrives on solving complex challenges with high impact in the agriculture sector.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Event Specialist who excels at hands-on events management and can effectively engage Australian cattle and dairy farmers through authentic, relatable experiences. This role involves organizing both grassroots events, such as farm BBQs and casual gatherings to build trust within local communities, and high-profile national events that showcase our brand's prominence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to support frequent, grassroots events designed to foster trust and capture leads, ensuring these events are well coordinated and managed.
  • Take a proactive role in planning and executing large-scale, high-profile national events with attention to detail in logistics, supplier management, and on-site execution to meet premium standards.
  • Manage the logistics of events including venue bookings, supplier coordination, travel and accommodation arrangements, and handling merchandise and signage.
  • Oversee event day operations such as setup, registration, and troubleshooting challenges to provide smooth event experiences.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-event communications, including invitations, reminders, follow-ups, and surveys in partnership with the content team ensuring brand consistency.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and field representatives to ensure alignment on event goals, logistics, and messaging.
  • Track event metrics such as participant registration, attendance, and impact on sales pipelines, analyzing feedback to improve future event execution.

Candidate Profile

  • Highly organized, proactive, and ownership-driven individual who thrives on managing detailed tasks and making things happen without close supervision.
  • Clear and confident communicator comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders such as farmers, sales personnel, suppliers, and national-level partners.
  • Eager to expand skills across both grassroots and large-scale event formats with a willingness to receive feedback and grow professionally.
  • Calm under pressure and solution-oriented when handling unexpected changes or issues during events, understanding when to escalate problems appropriately.
  • Possesses a full driver's license and willing to travel regularly to event locations across the country.

Benefits

  • Access to tasty daily snacks and beverages.
  • Comprehensive health support through a partnership with Southern Cross Health Insurance.
  • Generous parental leave benefits including six months fully paid primary caregiver leave and four weeks paid secondary caregiver leave.
  • Annual $1,000 personal development fund for training or self-improvement initiatives.
  • Wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave to promote work-life balance.
  • A competitive remuneration package combined with an employee stock ownership plan.

Work Environment

We prioritize in-person collaboration to foster interpersonal connections, growth, and impactful teamwork. Our office culture is dynamic and energetic, emphasizing trust and flexibility to balance office presence with remote work as needed.

Equal Opportunity Statement

We embrace diversity and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply, particularly those who may not fulfill every requirement listed. We believe in potential and welcome conversations about fit and contributions to our team.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter explaining their enthusiasm for the role and Halter, along with their resume for consideration.
