Role Overview

The Environment Technician role is hands-on, ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and physical tasks. This varied role includes duties such as environmental sampling, assisting with rehabilitation activities, and supporting different operational areas as needed. Experience in environmental monitoring, land or agricultural management, mining, or construction is valuable, but a positive attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic are equally important.

Key Responsibilities and Candidate Profile

  • Perform outdoor and physically demanding work associated with environmental monitoring and rehabilitation.
  • Contribute flexibly to various tasks, maintaining adaptability as duties evolve daily.
  • Collaborate effectively within a small, cohesive team environment.
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in environmental stewardship and rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Prioritize safety and work independently when necessary.
  • Reside locally or within a reasonable commuting distance to Majors Creek, NSW.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Hold a current, unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Physically capable of demanding work outdoors.
  • Possess strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
  • Committed to workplace safety and environmental care.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

  • Background in environmental, agriculture, mining, construction, or land management sectors.
  • Experience with machinery or mobile plant operation.
  • ChemCert accreditation.
  • Forklift licence.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Working at Heights and/or Confined Space qualifications.

Additional Information
