Entry-Level Sustainability Analyst

About the Role

An emerging leader in sustainability is seeking a motivated and analytical recent graduate to join their environmental advisory team located in New York. This full-time entry-level position involves assisting corporate clients, real estate developers, and municipal agencies with decarbonization strategies, resource efficiency improvements, and compliance with local environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the compilation and verification of detailed greenhouse gas emissions inventories (Scope 1, 2, and 3) using specialized sustainability software.
• Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to analyze data related to buildings, aiming to achieve certifications such as LEED, WELL, or comply with local energy codes.
• Develop and maintain data models that monitor clients' resource consumption focusing on water stewardship, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to help clients prioritize their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a recent Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Infrastructure, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Has a strong analytical capability to work comfortably with spreadsheets and extensive datasets, identifying trends and insights.
• Possesses excellent communication skills, able to translate complex scientific data into understandable business recommendations for diverse audiences.
