Job Overview
The role of Engineer Surveyor is essential in maintaining safety, compliance, and optimal performance across various industries in Ireland. This primarily field-based position involves conducting statutory examinations and contractual inspections on a wide range of equipment.
Engineer Surveyors follow a clear development program with defined skill targets and personalized guidance, supporting professional growth and knowledge enhancement.
Equipment Inspected
- Garage equipment
- Lifting and pressure equipment used in factories
- Materials handling machinery, including forklifts
- Social and domestic apparatus such as stairlifts and personnel hoists
- Mobile plant machinery including MEWPs and earth-moving equipment

Main Duties
- Operate in accordance with company procedures and Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure safety for yourself and clients.
- Manage workloads independently with support, ensuring timely client appointments and efficient scheduling.
- Consistently deliver high-quality customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Carry out inspection duties at various client locations as this role is not office-based.
Experience and Skills
- 1 to 3 years' relevant engineering experience
- Practical knowledge of regulations such as Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007
- Effective communication skills across multiple stakeholders
- Competency in Microsoft and Apple IT software
- Strong customer service understanding and application
Qualifications
Possession of a recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification or Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship, such as NVQ Level 3.

Salary
