Engineer, Business Intelligence (Data Analytics)

Role Overview

Join VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company as a Business Intelligence Engineer specializing in data analytics to enhance wafer fabrication operations. You will architect and implement reporting solutions that facilitate informed decision-making and operational insight.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and roll out BI reporting systems tailored for wafer fabrication and business operational requirements.
• Create automated reports and visualization tools to boost transparency and track performance metrics.
• Develop and sustain live dashboards for the Operation Command Center, focusing on 12-inch wafer fab manufacturing KPIs including WIP, equipment usage, cycle times, throughput, yield, and production progress.
• Maintain integrity and availability of reporting platforms, databases, ETL workflows, and BI applications, ensuring data precision and prompt issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Yield Engineering, and IT to define requirements and deliver analytics tools aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement and enforce consistent reporting practices, data governance policies, and key performance indicator definitions throughout the fabrication facility.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Management, Information Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or closely related field.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience, preferably within semiconductor wafer fabrication settings.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL for data querying and report generation.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including mastery of complex formulas, PivotTables, and VBA scripting.
• Hands-on experience with BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, effective stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Technical skills include proficiency in at least one of the following: React or Vue.js for web app development; Python with libraries like NumPy and Pandas for data analytics and automation; ETL development using PL/SQL or Kettle (Pentaho Data Integration); or experience with semiconductor manufacturing systems like MES, SPC, APC, EAP, and Factory Automation.
