Role Overview
Join a progressive and expanding People team as an Employee Relations Partner, working on-site in Nottingham with a hybrid schedule involving two days in the office each week. This role transcends typical case management by shaping organizational capability, coaching leaders, and driving enhanced business outcomes through expert employee relations strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a diverse and complex caseload involving disciplinary actions, grievances, performance issues, absence management, and appeals.
- Lead and conduct workplace investigations, offering clear and informed recommendations.
- Coach and support managers to boost their confidence and competence in addressing people-related challenges.
- Advise on UK employment law and best practices with expertise.
- Analyze employee relations data to identify patterns and recommend proactive solutions.
- Assist in tribunal preparations and counsel on organizational risk management.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders to enhance employee relations throughout the business.
- Stay informed about upcoming employment legislation and assess its potential impact on the company.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the employee relations function.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in roles such as Employee Relations Partner, Manager, or senior-level positions.
- Strong technical expertise in United Kingdom employment law.
- Proven ability to coach and influence managers across organizational levels.
- Confidence to provide constructive challenges while maintaining credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Background in fast-paced operational sectors such as logistics, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, or similarly dynamic environments.
- A forward-thinking and proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities beyond reactive measures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, balancing commercial objectives with legal compliance and best practice.
