Role Overview

This full-time position based onsite in Auckland involves supporting engineering efforts by assembling, installing, and maintaining electronic components such as circuit boards and wiring. Key daily responsibilities include diagnosing system faults, troubleshooting issues, conducting tests using electronic test equipment, performing soldering and rework of components, and accurately documenting all results. The technician will assist engineers with prototyping and production tasks and ensure all activities comply with safety, quality, and relevant regulations. Collaboration with team members to meet project deadlines and contribute to workshop and laboratory process enhancements is essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficient knowledge in electronic engineering and electronics technology to aid in design, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
• Skilled in soldering techniques and competent in using electronic test instruments for precise measurement and verification.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify, isolate, and resolve circuit and equipment faults.
• Possession of relevant technical qualifications such as a diploma or trade certificate in electronics, electrical engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
• Capability to interpret circuit schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer guidelines accurately.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality control within workshop and lab contexts.
• Effective communication skills and readiness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testing environments is an advantage.
