Detail Designer

About the Role

AVATR's Global Design Center in Munich seeks a versatile Detail Designer skilled at blending interior, exterior, and brand innovation design elements. Our international AVATR Design Team values design as a powerful driver of ongoing innovation and boundary-pushing creativity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and production programs in both 2D and 3D formats.
• Generate innovative and forward-thinking design ideas with wide-ranging creativity.
• Translate creative concepts into compelling, requirement-compliant design solutions.
• Draw inspiration from AVATR’s Design DNA and Experience principles.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams from Interior, Exterior, UX/UI, C&M, Studio Engineering, and CAS departments to produce viable outcomes.
• Primarily focus on Automotive Interior Detail design, with occasional contributions to Exterior, Advanced, or Product divisions.
• Create visually engaging presentations for senior management review.
• Conduct trend research and foster innovation in detailed design, technology integration, and user-centered experiences.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or related discipline.
• Proven creative thinking skills, brand-centered design approach, user-focused ideation, and meticulous attention to detail.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in automotive detail design or a related field, supported by a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Familiarity with detail production techniques and integration processes.
• Advanced skills in 2D and 3D digital tools including Photoshop, Blender, and Microsoft Office. Experience with Figma, Alias, VRed, and emerging AI design software is highly advantageous.
• Strong spatial visualization capabilities with a focus on detail, user experience, aesthetic sophistication, and graphic/form design.
• Ability to translate cultural insights into design elements effectively.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are considered a plus.
