Department Manager

Position Overview

The Department Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring retail team members possess the necessary skills and support to drive sales performance. Acting as the key support to the Store Manager, this role involves overseeing the store's efficient and profitable operation, adhering to company policies and procedures. The position also includes full store accountability in the absence of the Store Manager and prioritizes promoting the company’s Loyalty Program to enhance customer retention and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a fashionable and professional appearance while staying informed about current product knowledge to minimize stock loss.
• Continuously update awareness of new products, trends, and fashion directives to proactively address customer needs.
• Ensure retail staff are skilled in delivering superior customer service aimed at maximizing sales.
• Support the Store Manager in implementing operational procedures consistent with company standards.
• Enforce adherence to brand and company policies by all team members at all times.
• Conduct regular audits of store administration and promptly address any identified issues.
• Manage staff schedules, leaves, and resolve any grievances among retail team members.
• Uphold visual merchandising guidelines to maintain store presentation quality.
• Advocate for and promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat sales.
• Provide constructive feedback to Store and Area Managers regarding employee performance and product insights.
• Maintain vigilant security oversight within the store to prevent negligence.
• Keep informed about all group brands to facilitate suggestive selling to customers.
• Assume full responsibility for store management during the Store Manager’s absence.
• Be physically capable of standing for long hours and handling heavy lifting as required.
