Deli Assistant

Overview

This full-time Deli Assistant role is based in Dunne’s Centra located on Main Street, Stamullen, County Meath. The primary responsibility is to prepare top-quality hot and cold deli products while prioritizing excellent customer satisfaction at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Completion of HACCP training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Capability to function well within a team environment, multitask efficiently, and perform under pressure.
• Strong passion for food and the ability to engage and motivate shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Exemplify Centra brand values: being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-focused.
• Accurately prepare customer orders across fresh food sections, including making sandwiches/rolls, serving hot meals, and slicing meats adhering to portion control standards.
• Cook, prepare, and exhibit deli food products throughout operating hours.
• Maintain superior presentation standards of counters and displays across all fresh food departments consistently throughout the day.
• Express enthusiasm for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and personal tips with customers.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently following store policies.

Additional Information

The Stamullen store is situated on Main Street, approximately a 15-minute drive from Drogheda and 10 minutes from Balbriggan. Public transportation options to Stamullen are limited; hence the position is more suitable for candidates with private transportation access. This opportunity may not be well-suited for students due to the requirement of working up to five shifts weekly.
