Job Overview

Diversified Maintenance seeks a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned interior spaces within a building or across multiple client locations. Duties may vary based on client specifications, requiring flexibility in performing assigned tasks.

Work Schedule & Compensation

The position operates Monday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, offering an hourly wage of $16.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all types of floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Apply chemical cleaners and operate power equipment safely to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash receptacles properly and utilize compactors for designated materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate supplies and tools.
• Spot treat carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping routines.
• Operate heavy-duty cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers on occasion.
• Perform other duties assigned according to the scope of work or client needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
• Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
