Overview
Aaratech Inc. is looking for a skilled Data Analyst specializing in Supply Chain and Logistics to join their team based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. The successful candidate will leverage data analysis to enhance supply chain efficiency and enable informed strategic decisions.
Key Duties
- Gather, cleanse, and analyze diverse data sets related to supply chain and logistics.
- Create dashboards and reports monitoring inventory levels, transportation status, and operational metrics.
- Detect patterns, inefficiencies, and areas where process enhancements can be made.
- Work in close coordination with supply chain, operations, procurement, and business units to facilitate decisions grounded in data.
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Communicate insights and actionable recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Between 2 to 4 years of practical experience as a data analyst, ideally with exposure to supply chain, logistics, or operational data.
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze supply chain or inventory data.
- Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Competencies
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence software.
- Understanding of supply chain analytics, inventory control, and logistics reporting.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or R for data tasks.
- Experience with ERP tools like SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate add value.
