Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team remotely based in Los Angeles, California. This role involves analyzing complex data from transportation and supply chain operations to generate valuable insights that help optimize logistics activities across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Use statistical methods to interpret data and deliver ongoing reports supporting business decisions.
Design and apply databases, data gathering systems, and analytical strategies to maximize data quality and efficiency.
Retrieve data from primary and secondary sources while ensuring data integrity.
Detect and analyze trends or patterns in logistics and transportation datasets.
Cleanse data by reviewing reports and KPIs to identify and rectify anomalies.
Work closely with management and operations teams to understand and address business requirements.
Develop visual data representations including dashboards and reports for stakeholder communication.
Spot opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
Strong command of reporting tools, databases (especially SQL), and programming skills preferred.
Expertise in data modeling, database design, mining, and segmentation methods.
Proficient in statistical tools such as Excel, SPSS, or SAS for dataset analysis.
Excellent analytical ability to handle and interpret large volumes of information with precision.
Skilled in query formulation, report creation, and clearly presenting analysis results.
Preferred academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
Experience in the logistics or transportation sector is highly advantageous.
