Position Overview
The Customer Development Executive will be responsible for expanding revenue, volume, and trading contributions across all outlets within the assigned region. This will be achieved through strategic account development, consultative selling techniques, strong customer relationship management, ensuring optimal product availability and distribution, and maintaining high standards of merchandising and in-store execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth in revenue, volume, market share, and trading contribution by brand, channel, and packaging in alignment with regional business goals.
- Enhance product availability ensuring a minimum of 90% target stock levels.
- Utilize consultative selling approaches using the company’s "Sell-Out" toolkit to engage customers and prospects.
- Develop additional merchandising displays beyond plan requirements to boost profitability.
- Maintain and grow current customers while forging new relationships in cooperation with telesales and customer care teams to ensure superior service and satisfaction.
- Ensure cash collection targets are met according to company policy.
- Consistently uphold high standards of in-store execution including planogram adherence, product stocking, front facing, and cooler maintenance.
- Implement "second address" selling strategies to extend market penetration.
- Prepare and present customer-focused presentations for key accounts.
- Provide comprehensive outlet performance reports utilizing IT tools to support timely and strategic decision-making.
- Manage discount and free case allocations judiciously to ensure promotions improve customer performance and align with budgeting.
- Control territorial expenses to remain within regional budgets.
- Optimize call frequency and management of call files to maximize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate promotional activities by negotiating and securing store management support for product placement and signage prior to launch.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum of three years' sales experience within the FMCG sector.
- Solid understanding of the beverage industry including products, sales channels, and competitive landscape.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Competent numerical skills and proficiency with computer applications.
- Effective negotiation skills demonstrated in previous roles.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive in approach.

Education and Qualifications
- A full, clean driving license is mandatory.
- Third level qualification in Business or a related field is preferable though substantial experience with leaving certificate level or equivalent may suffice.
