Cost Estimation Engineer

About the Role

Penspen is seeking a seasoned Cost Estimation Engineer to join its Project Management Support (PMS) team based in Khafji, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The professional will be responsible for overseeing the project controls team across various projects and providing robust project control support to the Project Management team representing Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), managing a portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities and Expertise

• Lead and manage project controls activities supporting the Project Management team to deliver project programs effectively.
• Utilize deep knowledge in project cost estimation, particularly for engineering, procurement, and construction phases within major Oil and Gas and Petrochemical projects.
• Evaluate and provide expert consultation on cost estimation and forecasting challenges.
• Apply understanding of various contracting methods and execution strategies relevant to project delivery.
• Conduct benchmarking of schedules and costs specifically for upstream oil and gas projects.
• Leverage proficiency in MS Office suite, primarily Word and Excel, alongside experience in Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years overall experience with at least six years dedicated to project cost estimation in Oil and Gas/Petrochemical sectors.
• Preferably, previous involvement in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles in similar capacities.
