Role Overview

The Content Manager will lead the Core Content team ensuring the consistent excellence, integrity, and up-to-date status of a looseleaf, newsletter, and reference content portfolio. This role involves maintaining high editorial standards aligned to benchmarks and metrics while managing authors, overseeing portfolio budgets, and reporting on financial performance.

The manager will set team priorities, guide and train members, and promote best practices to enhance efficiency and improve processes. Close collaboration with operational leaders supporting Core Content is vital. Additionally, this position supports integrating Generative AI tools responsibly to boost workflow efficiency without compromising high-quality, trusted legal content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use content expertise to support new content development business cases and market segment analyses.
  • Oversee delivery of content improvements and assist in broader content development projects.
  • Maintain control over team operating costs across the portfolio, ensuring budget adherence.
  • Provide detailed reporting and forecasting for annual budgets, quarterly updates, and monthly financial analysis.
  • Identify and implement product cost-saving measures aligned with local, regional, and global targets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification is mandatory; a specialization in law is preferred.
  • Proficient computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of publishing technologies and workflows from concept to customer delivery.
  • At least three years of publishing experience across multiple teams; legal practice experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability in relationship management, leadership, budget oversight, and strong market awareness.
