Role Overview
This position is responsible for generating innovative creative ideas and transforming client goals into cohesive, actionable concepts tailored for events, summits, conferences, and exhibitions. It focuses on delivering memorable and impactful experiences that resonate with the client's brand identity and strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requests, client aims, and target demographics to inform concept development.
- Develop core creative ideas and compelling narratives to form strong project storylines.
- Design thematic elements, visual identities, and overall creative direction for varied projects.
- Define detailed creative guidelines including color schemes, materials, stylistic approaches, and visitor engagement strategies.
- Map out seamless visitor journeys, ensuring a cohesive experience from entry to exit.
- Design interactive elements that engage visitors with meaningful activations and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with design teams to strategically allocate and zone spatial areas effectively.
- Prepare visual conceptual aids such as mood boards and reference imagery to support proposals.
- Craft persuasive creative copy for presentation and pitch decks.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including 2D, 3D, motion graphics, and content creators to ensure accurate concept implementation.
- Perform quality control reviews of design outputs to maintain alignment with the creative vision.
- Present concepts to clients and play an active role in pitching, meetings, and workshops.
- Keep abreast of worldwide trends in events, exhibitions, and experiential design to inspire innovation.
- Suggest practical innovative ideas that comply with budget and time constraints.
- Maintain brand and conceptual consistency throughout all project touchpoints.
Daily Activities
- Evaluate new project briefs and requests for proposals.
- Lead and participate in team brainstorming sessions to stimulate creative thinking.
- Develop detailed concepts and narrative frameworks for projects.
- Assemble comprehensive creative presentation materials.
- Coordinate efforts between design, production, and content teams for smooth execution.
- Review final design outputs before client approval.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, interior design, marketing, event management, or a relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in event agencies, exhibition contractors, or creative firms is desirable.
- Experience of 5 to 10 years in concept development specifically for events and exhibitions.
- Having contributed to government initiatives, large summits, high-profile conferences, exhibitions, or public events is highly advantageous.
