Compliance Officer

Role Overview

Paradigm Operations LP-AL is seeking a driven and inquisitive Compliance Officer to join our team in Singapore. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about fintech, digital assets, and payments, who is eager to contribute to shaping the company's compliance standards and culture. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this position requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold a robust regulatory and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance framework along with internal control mechanisms within the firm.
• Perform regulatory and AML risk evaluations to enhance internal controls and adherence to Singapore's local laws.
• Facilitate regulatory interactions and maintain liaison with regulators and governmental agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure observance of all relevant licensing and regulatory obligations.
• Stay informed on current regulatory changes in Singapore, especially regarding payments services and digital asset financing.
• Assist in coordinating and managing regulatory or external audits impacting the firm.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, or have comparable professional experience.
• Minimum of three years' experience in compliance or a related discipline.
• In-depth understanding of Singapore's regulatory landscape with a focus on the Payment Services Act.
• Experience working with regulators or within regulatory agencies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the payments and fintech sectors would be considered a strong benefit.
• Excellent team collaboration skills coupled with effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.
