Role Overview
The Legal department at Revolut simplifies complexity by collaborating with multiple teams to provide practical legal guidance that enables fast yet secure business growth. The Complaints Legal Counsel supports Revolut’s expansion by managing out-of-court disputes, coordinating with external counsel, and providing advice on dispute matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete handling of out-of-court dispute resolution and consumer protection complaints with Greek authorities.
- Manage dispute cases by reviewing and drafting formal responses to claims.
- Coordinate with external law firms in Greece to oversee ongoing litigation cases.
- Advise on and resolve escalated dispute tickets related to branch operations.
- Support preparation of legal documents and optimize internal workflows for efficient dispute management.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in law and current membership in a Greek Bar Association.
- Experience working at a law firm or in-house legal position, preferably within banking or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with dispute resolution, litigation, or financial regulatory law.
- Proven ability to coordinate with and brief external law firms.
- Fluent in both English and Greek, with strong skills in drafting formal legal documents and articulating complex legal topics.
- A proactive approach to liaising with both internal teams and external legal experts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution (ADR), specifically in financial services via channels like the Hellenic Consumers’ Ombudsman or Hellenic Financial Ombudsman.
- Knowledge of Greek Consumer Protection Law, PSD2 transposition, and Bank of Greece regulations.
- An interest in fintech industry developments.
