About the Peter Toms Early Learning Centre
The Early Learning Centre (ELC) at Brighton Grammar supports the development and preparation of preschool boys for primary school through engaging and stimulating kindergarten programs. Additional care is also available before and after sessions and during school breaks. The ELC team focuses on creating a safe, dynamic environment tailored to preschool-aged children.
Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic Assistants to join the ELC program on a casual basis. The assistant will collaborate closely with the ELC Teacher to implement age-appropriate activities that promote emotional, physical, and self-esteem growth for the boys in the program.
Requirements
- Possession of or progress toward a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent relevant to Early Childhood/Early Years.
- Current First Aid Level 2 certification including CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training, or willingness to obtain these.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Level 2) or readiness to acquire it upon starting.
- Valid Working With Children Check for employment.
- Flexibility to work morning (7:30 am to 12:30 pm) or afternoon (12:30 pm to 5:30 pm) casual shifts Monday through Friday as required.
