Job description
Position Overview
This role is based in Poplarville, MS and involves preparing, cooking, assembling, and serving food and beverages according to standardized recipes. It emphasizes maintaining proper portion sizes, appropriate food temperatures, and quality presentation. The position also requires delivering courteous, professional, and timely customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while operating cash registers and managing cash transactions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with meal service by setting up serving stations, distributing food, and replenishing supplies as necessary.
- Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure a sanitary workspace.
- Sanitize kitchen, dining, storage, and work areas, including bussing tables and removing waste properly.
- Receive deliveries, stock inventory, rotate supplies, and organize food and materials following departmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations of the hospital cafeteria and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is between $12 and $14 per hour.
