About the role

What you'll do

Work with business teams to capture analytical needs and convert them into BI and advanced analytics solutions.
Create, improve, and support BI outputs that reveal performance trends, opportunities, and risks.
Define KPIs, metrics, and analytical structures that align with business priorities.
Carry out detailed investigations to uncover patterns, root causes, and areas for improvement.
Track and report on revenue and profitability, customer acquisition and retention, credit portfolio performance, and liquidity and balance sheet indicators.
Prepare management reports, executive dashboards, and board-level insight packs.
Deliver root-cause analysis and variance analysis for financial and operational results.
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple source systems.
Design and refine analytical data models such as star and snowflake schemas.
Protect data accuracy, consistency, and performance across analytical datasets.
Partner with IT and cloud teams to improve data architecture and platform performance.
Create interactive, high-performing Power BI dashboards and reports.
Apply strong data visualisation, UX/UI, and storytelling practices.
Develop DAX measures, calculations, and time-intelligence logic.
Manage datasets, refresh processes, Row-Level Security, and deployment pipelines in Power BI.
Apply governance controls, master data standards, and clear definitions.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory obligations.
Introduce data validation checks, quality controls, and supporting documentation.
Maintain data dictionaries, lineage records, and metadata.
Serve as a reliable analytics advisor to internal stakeholders.
Train users on BI tools, dashboard usage, and how to interpret data correctly.
Promote analytics best practices and ongoing process improvement.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, actuarial science, data science, statistics, information systems, engineering, economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
A master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
At least 4 years of technical experience is required.
Prior experience in a large and complex organisation with multiple stakeholders is preferred.
Strong capability in KPI design, business analytics, and stakeholder collaboration.
Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling, RLS, and performance tuning.
Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or cloud data platforms.
Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, privacy, and security concepts.
