Role Overview
Virgil Media is seeking an adept Business Development Manager to grow its international partnerships with advertisers and agencies. This fully remote, outcome-oriented position requires a firm understanding of the mobile advertising and performance marketing landscape. The ideal candidate will independently source, nurture, and close lucrative business opportunities. Collaboration with leadership, media buying, and campaign operations teams is essential to provide performance-driven user acquisition strategies for mobile app clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Discover and develop new business prospects among mobile app advertisers, agencies, publishers, and growth teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers focused on user acquisition, app growth, and performance marketing.
- Gain insights into the prospective clients’ target audiences, budget constraints, key performance indicators, and attribution systems.
- Communicate Virgil Media’s solutions including user acquisition, retargeting, CPA, CPL, and programmatic offerings.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle from outreach and qualification through negotiation, onboarding, and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create proposals, finalize commercial terms, and devise campaign strategies.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and produce accurate revenue forecasts.
- Foster lasting client relationships and identify prospects for account expansion.
- Represent the company at selected international industry forums and events.
Candidate Profile
- Between 2 and 5 plus years of experience in business development or sales in domains such as mobile advertising, ad tech, affiliate marketing, or app growth.
- Proven success in acquiring and nurturing international B2B clientele.
- Strong familiarity with metrics and models like CPI, CPA, CPL, ROAS, retargeting, and mobile attribution systems.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Confident and persuasive communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
- Independent management of the entire commercial sales process.
- A self-driven, proactive, and results-focused attitude suitable for remote work environments.
Preferred Experience
- An existing professional network within mobile app advertisers, agencies, publishers, or user acquisition teams.
- Exposure to sectors such as fintech, gaming, entertainment, subscription models, utilities, or e-commerce applications.
- Hands-on experience with attribution platforms like AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, or AppMetrica.
- A demonstrated history of generating revenue through new client acquisition.
