Team Overview
The Information Technology department is critical to Millennium's expansion and operational health, focusing on developing adaptable and scalable technologies that underpin the firm's multi-manager investment approach. Within this division, the Equities Technology group prioritizes investment in proprietary tools and platforms that support the Equities Volatility business, facilitating research, strategy backtesting, and risk oversight for equities derivatives portfolios.
Position Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investment teams and business stakeholders to collect, analyze, and convert functional and business requirements into precise project deliverables.
- Evaluate data dependencies across systems and produce comprehensive project documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), JIRA user stories, and detailed project plans.
- Oversee day-to-day project activities, proactively identifying and raising issues, conflicts, or obstacles, and work to facilitate their resolution.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and associated project materials to support prioritization, execution, and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate development efforts, testing phases, and release validations to ensure solutions align with business needs and meet user expectations.
- Prepare user manuals and help documentation to support the onboarding of new users to the platform.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of six years' experience as a business analyst or project manager in relevant roles.
- Deep knowledge of equity derivatives markets including market data, pricing models, and risk management, focusing particularly on Volatility and Delta 1 products and their risk sensitivities.
- Practical experience working alongside traders, risk managers, and business leaders supporting proprietary derivatives pricing, analytics, and risk management systems.
- Demonstrated track record engaging senior-level stakeholders, crafting product roadmaps, and navigating prioritization amid competing demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating complex concepts into clear documentation and actionable plans.
- Proven capability to perform effectively and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks and familiarity with JIRA project management software.
- Additional qualifications such as a development background or CFA certification are advantageous, as is a fundamental understanding of Python and the ability to interpret Java code related to functionality implementation.
