Job Overview
The Lewis County General Hospital has an opening for a Building Maintenance Worker position. This is a full-time role primarily scheduled during evening shifts.
Compensation
The hourly wage is estimated between $20.84 and $26.45 based on rates set for 2026.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications include certification from a vocational technical school in carpentry, electrical trades, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, or building maintenance. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in general building construction, cleaning, or maintenance work are eligible. Equivalents combining education and experience may also meet the requirements.
Civil Service Requirements
Candidates must successfully pass a competitive Civil Service Examination and be eligible for appointment through the Civil Service list. The position will be filled under Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
