About the Role

This unique opportunity allows you to take full ownership of brand design at a dynamic, enterprise-level AI platform company headquartered in Berlin. You will have significant creative freedom to influence the company's brand across all aspects — from the digital presence like website and design systems to physical expressions such as merchandise, office interiors, and event booths. Working within a compact team, your design choices will be impactful and feedback will be timely.

The company operates in the B2B AI and SaaS domain, assisting large-scale clients in securely adopting and integrating generative AI technologies. Building a trustworthy and polished brand identity is crucial, and you will play a central role in achieving this.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the design system, including maintaining reusable components, tokens, and visual styles optimized for scalability.
• Create compelling merchandise designs, coordinate with suppliers, review samples iteratively, and make final decisions on materials and quality standards.
• Design engaging physical environments such as office layouts, event booths, and conference setups to deliver cohesive brand experiences.
• Lead high-profile creative initiatives from start to finish, including product launches, marketing campaigns, and special partnerships.
• Maintain and implement visual and frontend updates on the company website independently without relying on a ticket backlog.
• Switch efficiently between design tools like Figma and supplier/vendor communications while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Approach brand holistically, ensuring consistency across physical and digital brand touchpoints.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to speed up workflows without compromising the quality or integrity of the design output.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in brand design, focusing on delivering comprehensive brand expressions including design systems, merchandise, and spatial design.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma with the ability to produce production-ready frontend designs without needing developer handoffs.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end creative projects, including critical launch events and campaigns.
• Expertise in maintaining design systems involving components, tokens, and consistent visual patterns suitable for scale.
• Experience in shaping physical brand experiences for office environments, events, or trade shows.
• Background in merchandise production from initial supplier briefs to assessing sample quality.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of independently defining project briefs when none exist.
• A collaborative mindset combined with the ability to defend design choices with clarity and confidence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing color tokens and incorporating accessibility features within design systems.
• Skills in motion graphics or animation to enhance brand storytelling.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to improve design efficiency.

Location and Work Conditions

This position requires onsite presence in Berlin, Germany. Candidates must already possess legal authorization to work in Germany, as no visa sponsorship will be provided.
