Role Overview

The Bid Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting Jasmax's growth throughout Australasia by developing and directing strategic approaches to winning major projects. Located in Auckland, Sydney, or Melbourne, this position combines sharp commercial insight, strategic judgment, and pace to influence complex bids across architectural and design domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Principals to strategically position Jasmax in pursuit of significant projects by leading all stages of bid strategy and execution.
  • Create and propagate winning themes that differentiate Jasmax and align with client priorities across business development efforts and submissions.
  • Critically assess pricing, risk factors, and commercial assumptions to ensure favorable bid outcomes.
  • Maintain team focus and coordination throughout the bid lifecycle to meet tight deadlines from planning to submission.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to generate persuasive, client-centered content that represents Jasmax's brand and ethos.
  • Engage in client debriefs to glean insights that enhance future bidding, pricing, and positioning strategies.
  • Assist the Head of Business Development with broader initiatives that contribute to the organization's growth goals alongside bid responsibilities.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 7 years experience in a comparable bid role within a multi-disciplinary professional services context.
  • Proven history of managing complex, high-value bids end-to-end including early strategy formulation, positioning, writing, and production coordination.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with confidence in interacting across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and capability to develop clear, convincing content.
  • Strong strategic thinking, resilience, agility, and a problem-solving mindset.
